After playing around with Smart Playlists there is another part of DNA caring that can be quiet essential although it requires a minimum of effort, we are talking about the Comment field in iTunes™ using MooDNA. Download MooDNA.

After downloading MooDNA just flip to the widget's back to set your Comments buttons as you wish. Here is an example of it:

You may set whatever you feel like, as long as the comment has something to do with some tracks. It's a good idea to think a minimum "generic", meaning using comments that can be set to at least a few tracks.

In the example on the left I have chosen three different comments to describe the pace of the track; Slow, Medium and Fast.

Setting comments should be 1 click away!

The fun can begin

As you populate your Comment fields possibilities for Smart Playlists begin to get quiet powerful:

Criteria: Comment contains Slow + Comment contains Fall + Comment does not contain Love + My Rating is greater than 2 Stars

Result: I want something slow and quiet (Slow), something a bit sad on the side (Fall), however I'm sitting with friends and don't want to get the love songs I would listen if, let's say I would be with my love (Not Love), and finally I want Tracks I like (Rating).

As you can see, once your Comments get populated, creativity is your friend! Also, don't forget you can set multiple Comments to a single track!
