Getting Started With DiskAid

First download and install DiskAid and launch the application.

  1. Connect your device – if FileApp is installed on your device and your are upgrading DiskAid from a previous version, DiskAid might need to move some folders, this operation can take some time but should happen once only. Do not disconnect during this operation.
  2. The DiskAid window opens on two distinct panes with the controls on top:
    1. The ‘Navigation’ pane (left) lists available folders, compatible applications and displays any shortcut created by the user.
    2. The ‘Browser’ window shows the files and folders on the device corresponding to the element selected in the left pane.
  3. In order to copy a file or folder simply drag and drop the element onto the desired location on DiskAid’s Browser, or click the top ‘Copy to Device’ control, and then choose a file or folder and press ‘Open’ to copy files or folders to selected location.
  4. Conversely, in order to transfer documents from device to computer, drag and drop items from DiskAid’s Browser or click ‘Copy to PC/Mac’.
