Getting Started With DiskAid

First download and install DiskAid, launch the application. DiskAid’s main window is the remote file browser.

  1. Connect your device, you will see a folder named “Start Here”
  2. This folder is the first folder you can use on the device
    1. You can use it for immediate storage: click on the “Copy to Device” button, choose a file or folder to be copied and press “Open” to copy files or folders to device.
    2. You can create folders within this particular folder: click “Create folder” and name it as you feel.
  3. You can drag and drop folders or files from your desktop to your device as well.
  4. Likewise, from the device, you can Copy items from the device to your computer using the “Copy to Mac/PC” button or simply drag and drop them.
  5. The default view in DiskAid is the Diskaid folder (the first folder that’s created by the app on the device), you can select various folder views using the Folder selector at the bottom left of the DiskAid application window.
