Our philosophy

We, at TuneDNA, think discovering music is a process needing as much neutrality as possible. Here are a few points we hold as crucial:
- We don't like the idea of "Special Exposition" such as that if a track is the most listened track, it should be more exposed than another one, being on the Home Page of TuneDNA under a top 10 listing as an example. We think that such listings tend to start self-fulfilling dynamics where a track makes it to the Top-Ten and stays there just because it is more exposed.
- We favor the idea of a neutral Musical DNA ecosystem, where tracks deserve to be highlighted at the listeners level, and not at the listeners aggregated level. We think that by keeping our footprint minimal by only providing the basic network facility we will achieve better matching results.
- We think that the only "Influence" that should make you give a go at an artist you don't know are other listeners, and nobody else. We are already exposed to enough marketing messages to discover products marketers want to sell us.
- We think that sharing your personal Musical preferences is a very intimate act, and therefore we think you should be able to do so undercover, hence the ability to save your Musical DNA and send it via e-mail to anyone else with any interaction with TuneDNA's service.

What's that DNA Biz ?
As human beings we are all unique. Modern science has unveiled the essence of what makes us all different, but also what bounds us together; the DNA. In extension to this comes the Musical DNA.
