My iPod doesn’t appear in PicsAid
  • Make sure your iPod’s ‘Disk Mode’ is enabled, here’s how.
Why can’t I see the pictures I shot with the device (Camera roll) nor the high resolution photos with my device in PicsAid?
  • Because unlike photo albums imported with iTunes the Camera roll and high resolution pictures are not currently supported by PicsAid. You can easily retrieve your Camera roll photos with DiskAid.
Can PicsAid help me get my movies?
  • No, but the movies shot with the device can be retrieved using DiskAid.
What is the quality of the pictures I can expect to retrieve?
  • PicsAid it will render the quality equivalent to the native resolution of the device it is stored on (480-by-320-pixel resolution at 163 ppi for an iPhone).
Why isn’t PicsAid working on my PowerPC Mac?
  • Power PC based Mac, which is not supported. You must run PicsAid on Intel based Macs only
Will PicsAid help me share my pictures?
  • Absolutely, install PicsAid on any computer and start uploading your pictures? (You need to have iTuned installed also – not running, just installed).
Can I use PicsAid to copy images from computer to iPod/iPhone?
  • No, but you don’t need PicsAid to do that, you can use iTunes to sync pictures to an iPod/iPhone. Just make sure you have the setting that “Prevent iPods and iPhones from syncing automatically” checked (got to iTunes Preferences, under the Devices tab) and uncheck all sync tabs except the pictures.
How do I get rid of the watermark that appears on all pictures copied with PicsAid?
  • You need to register your copy of PicsAid. to do so, just visit DigiDNA’s online store and your payment will grant you a Serial key that will remove all limitations once entered.
How do I register PicsAid?
  • Once your serial key obtained upon payment in the store, click the PicsAid menu on the top left of your screen and select “Enter Serial Key”.
  • I get an error mentioning that QTCF.dll is missing, what should I do?
    • it’s an issue with the iTunes Mobile Device driver, apparently a component of QuickTime is missing. Please download and install the latest iTunes – even if you have it installed already.
      Then lauch it, launch QuickTime also, close them both connect your iPhone and start DiskAid, it should be fine.
