Transfer Files From FileApp to FileApp Pro

How to transfer documents from FileApp to FileApp Pro

Technically speaking FileApp and FileApp Pro are two different applications, therefore documents stored in the first do not automatically show up in the second.

There are two easy methods of copying the contents of one to another once both apps are installed on a single device:

  • Copy a single document: open FileApp, locate the document to be copied and apply a long tap and tap the “Open In…” pop up, choose “FileApp Pro” from the next screen. The document will be saved in fileApp Pro’s “Imported Document” folder, and can be renamed, moved or copied to any other location within the app.
Such document interactions are also possible with various 3rd-party apps.
  • Copy a set of files and folders: download, install and launch DiskAid for free. In DiskAid’s left navigation pane, under “Applications” will be displayed both apps.
Simply copy all files from one application to your desktop and then transfer them back onto the new one:
    1. copy from FileApp to the computer
    2. copy from the computer to FileApp Pro

Please make sure all documents are safely copied or backed up on your computer before deleting any app, as all it’s contents are irrevocably discarded upon deletion.
