Remove iPhone Tracking Data

This feature has been removed from DiskAid after iOS update to 4.3.3, if you want more informations about that, just contact us.

If you were concerned about your device’s geo-localization data tracking (as exposed by the iPhone Tracker), here is a simple fix for resetting all data from your device and your computer that works on any device, with every carrier, with or without jailbreak.

First download and install DiskAid and launch the application.

  1. Connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
  2. Go to DiskAid’s ‘Preferences’ and select the ‘Advanced’ tab
  3. Click ‘Remove Tracking Data from the device’
(This operation can take a few minutes and your device will restart do not disconnect)

DiskAid will not only wipe all geo-localisation data tracking from the device itself, but it will also delete all related data that was stored on your computer too.

Please note:

  • This is an experimental feature: DiskAid processes the device’s backup, so use this feature only if you know what you are doing and don’t even think about complaining afterward.
  • While the device connects to the networks (3G or WiFi) it continuously gathers and stores Tracking Data … so for best results wipe it regularly!
  • iTunes stores one single backup file for each device you have synced/backed up, so in order to completely delete existing files from the computer you must wipe every single device you used.
  • The actual tracking data will be in fact replaced by an almost empty record showing only a handful of dots (connections) around Geneva, Switzerland – Hey, that’s where we are!
  • The whole process does not affect ‘Location service’ settings or functions of your device, and all apps using such services will remain and operate exactly as usual and absolutely unaffected.
